Novo Nordisk wins US Approval for somatropin drug
Bagsvaerd -- Novo Nordisk will enter the US market in Q2 of 2010 with Norditropin® FlexPro®, a somatropin pre-filled injection pen for children and adults with growth hormone disorders, after the FDA approved marketing of the recombinantly produced drug. Norditropin® is used to treat children who have growth failure because of low or no growth hormone, including children who are short and who have Noonan syndrome or Turner syndrome, or because they were born small for their gestational age and have not caught-up in growth by age 2 to 4 years, and also adults who do not produce enough growth hormone.
